I disagree. I think WITW would have been massive. Of course, a radio edit would have to cut out the guitar intro, but do that and that song is huge.

I've always considered Roulette as the best track on the debut... even better than Runaway and Shot Through The Heart. I've always had a connection with it. I definitely think it shouldve been the second single, but I doubt it would have made much more of an impact.

I think it might have been but it wouldn't have done much more for the album than the other singles did. The songs they released from Jersey were pretty big.

The point for me is that pre-2000 they were spot on with singles choices. They didn't drop any major clangers. Post 2000, their choices have been horrible. Personally, I think they've cocked up on at least one gem per album:

Just Older
The Distance
I Am
Any Other Day
Broken Promise Land
Love's the Only Rule
That's What the Water Made Me
I'm With You

Don't get me wrong, I don't think any of them would have been monster hits but they beat the crap out of some of the dirge they have released.

The Distance was released as a single in Japan in September 2003. I don't know how successful it is.

Blood On Blood and Stick To Your Guns should have been New Jersey's 6th and 7th singles.

I'd love to see Roulette and the others I've mentioned given some love and put on a future Bon Jovi compilation.

Would i be wrong in assuming that they are only releasing singles that have that instantly Jovi identifiable sound and can also be played live convincingly?? Take Brokenpromiseland for example, them appearing on talkshows and the lot playing that song the way they did in Hawaii would have been a disaster. Same goes for I am. The rest, I can't point out why they didn't even try with them....
