Default in regards to New Jersey's cousin...

Aldo Nova's - Blood On The Bricks

I've always loved this album; and as it turns out would be Jon's last take on the type of music he was writing for Slippery and New Jersey. fav songs are Hey Ronnie (Veronica's Song), Touch of Madness, Modern World. really you can't go wrong with any of the songs, even the 1 song Jon didn't co-write is pretty good.

i would like to know you allz thoughts on the album, fav songs,

as a whole how familiar is this board with this release?

if you missed this first time around and are looking for another Slippery; New Jersey type release, this is for you.

only negative with this release is it prompted me to buy Aldo's follow up Nova's Dream, which blew chunks.

As you - I loved the album and hated the followup. These days I guess it hits me as a bit dated but it still gets a listen now and then.

Is it worth a try?

I really dig it. It's definitely worth checking out. "Young Love" SCREAMS Jon. It almost sounds like a mix of Cadillac Man and the box set's Open all night.

Another Glam Metal record.

Too late for Aldo Nova, wasn't it 1991? It falied. Well, his hardcore fans hate this album. But I like it.

It´s been a while since I´ve listened to it, but This Ain´t Love is my favourite song on that one. First half of the album isn´t as good as the last 5 songs.

I don't find it similar to Bon Jovi at all.. Well, maybe "Someday". But in fact it's much more in veins of Dare's "Blood From Stone" (to those who don't know this one - it's great melodic hard rock, much more powerful than their other, AOR albums) or Damn Yankees with less shredding. It's a solid stuff though not great. "New Jersey" is much better...

they are correct. I remembered Jim Vallance had a credit, as he was like a desmond child back in the day, but as for Rick Hughes name didn't ring a bell @ all.

I love this album. It got me through the period between Blaze and Keep the Faith. It sounded very much like a Bon Jovi album to me. Touch of Madness is my favorite.
