I'm a fan so I'm possibly biased but this is a superb cover to my ears.

BTW- there is also a great cover of Bruce's Atlantic City as the "B-side".

His recent acoustic covers have all been super lazy tbh, some "roughly the chord progression" picking and "girl its late 👉👈 dont you wanna stay" hush talk singing vocals sometimes using the original melody, sometimes not

Would you honestly recognize the song without the lyrics?

I mean, I would recognise it yeah, as a Bon Jovi fan the chord progression is instantly recognisable, even without his vocals, especially if you are familar with the acoustic version.

I don't see the point in doing a cover version and just copying the original. I much prefer when the artist take a song and makes it their own, like this. I enjoyed it.

I generally agree with that, but he's been doing a LOT of covers, and they all sound like this - whether it's Atlantic City or Ace of Spades. So that got old quickly.
