Made in America was planned to publish as a single, it was a radio single but didn't get enough airplay to publish as a commercial single. I talked to Mercury Germany at that time and they said that a song is given to the radio stations 6 week prior the planned release for sale and if it will be released depends on the airplay. Only a very few radio stations played Richie's song so it was not enough.

There was already a video-clip filmed for this single, that was recorded at Richie's concert in Cologne but it never saw the light of the public.

Mr. Bluesman was a single, at least I have seen one at a record fair, it could be that it was only a promo for the radio stations though.

Not sure about One light burning, since there is a video for this song I guess it was published or at least planned to publish.

I have it on both 7" vinyl and cd-single so yes, it was official.
I have never seen One Light Burning as a single. I only have
a promotion version.

That doesn't make it a single. There are more items pressed on vinyl that aren't singles.

Mr. Bluesman was released as a promo single in France, it never made it as a single. One Light Burning was released in the US as a radio single as far as I know.

There are several promo's of Richie's CD singles around, but it's hard to find out what actually has been released as a single.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Neither of my Mr Bluesman singles are labeled as promos. And they're
both bought in a regular record shop here in Denmark.

It seems like I'm wrong then, I'm not that surprised actually about that.

So you've got more then 1 copy of a Mr. Bluesman single. Could you tell me the cataloguenumber and the tracklist ? Has one of them a black cover ?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
