It's nowhere near Temptation. In Temptaion you canhear the feeling in Jon's voice, with SAM you only get whiny vocals. Temptation is one of the best Jovi ballads in the 2000s, She's a Mystery is just bad.

I wholeheartedly agree. Temptation is one of the best songs Bon Jovi have done the past 10 years and shows what direction Crush was supposed to be before Ebbin got involved.

Fantastic song.

Jons vocals are brilliant at the end.

The lyrics are cheesy at the start, though.

Agreed. I find much more emotion in some of the Crush demos than on the actual album...Stay, Temptation etc.

I don't really like Save The World but I've a soft spot for Crush as it was the album that made me a fan. There are some shitters on it but I think it's at least half good. Obviously IML was a killer single that the band needed to reinstate themselves, but I also like Just Older, Two Story Town, Next 100 Years and OWN. Now if they'd have used Nuerotica and Temptation for the album instead of, say She's a Mystery and Captain Crash and made a better choice with the 2nd and 3rd single then it would have been a whole lot better. I would probably have gone with Just Older for one of the singles (this would have been a good first single had IML not been the obvious choice) and maybe Two Story Town or Neurotica as every ballad on Crush blows.
