With respect to that song, you could tell it was written for Armageddon, it became more obvious when I found out that was the case, but it just has that feel too it.


I like the song though.


As for the original song mentioned, Seat Next To You.

I really like it. It's very sad. I like it because you can view it in a couple different ways. As losing a loved one(Richie) or about loving someone(Jon), and I actually believe a band member said something similar.

My favorite part is when Jon goes "When you get to the top and the angels sing.......................Know I'll come runnin, runnin to find you" because it sounds like he is crying and you could just tell it is full of emotion.

Sorry, I am a sap for sad songs, doesnt hold well for my mancard.

His vocal is great on the song. Honestly, there isn't much I don't like about the song, especially when I learned the lyrics were for the Armageddon film.

I absolutely ADORE this song. By far one of my favorite ballads of the 2000s. It's not contrived or forumulaic like some of the others. Just very honest, and heartfelt. And I love Jon's vocals, they are crisp,clear and soothng.
