Since when Hair Metal was about "bad music"?
Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, Whitesnake, Tesla, Damn Yankees, Mötley Crüe, Mr. Big, Extreme, etc, had a lot of talent. There were bad bands too, like every music genre.
Best regards.
