Default Set-List for JBJ's Accoustic Show Last Night

Taken from bj.com:

JON BON JOVI : STEPHEN TALKHOUSE
(Thursday, July 7, 2005)

On Wednesday, JULY 6, JON BON JOVI did a small acoustic show at legendary STEPHEN TALKHOUSE in Amagansett, Long Island. Billed as An Acoustic Evening with Jon Bon Jovi, the event benefitted SOULDIER RIDE (which raises monies for returning veterans and their medical/rehab needs and which hosts a yearly bikeride to raise funds) and was in conjunction with the local radio station, WEHM. JON BON JOVI was joined on stage by LORENZA PONCE (on violin,) BOBBY BANDIERA (on guitar,) and JEFF KAZEE (on keyboards) with all three adding harmonies.

STEPHEN TALKHOUSE held approximately 200 people for the small show. Here's what was performed:
- HELP (a cover of The Beatles' classic which began with Amazing Grace on the violin)
- LOVE FOR SALE
- LIVIN' ON A PRAYER (TLFR style)
- YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME (TLFR style)
- BED OF ROSES
- THAT'S ALRIGHT MAMA (great cover of the Elvis classic)
- IT'S MY LIFE (TLFR style)
- KEEP THE FAITH (TLRF style)
- SOMEDAY I'LL BE SATURDAY NIGHT
- I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU (TLFR style)
- EVERY WORD WAS A PIECE OF MY HEART (from Jon's 1997 Destination Anywhere solo album)
- WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME?
- BORN TO BE MY BABY (TLFR style)
- WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE
- ENCORE: HERE COMES THE SUN

--------

Nic set-list, I must say. A new song and something from Jon's Destination Anywhere record, hopefully some of those make into the new tour. I wish I could have seen it, some guy posted on backstage that he was at it and said it was an amazing performance from Jon .

didnt even know that is show was happening...

but, decent setlist by the looks of it.
But id drop the TLFR versions of the songs, with the exception of maybe its my life, and just do them normal acoustic.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

That sounds great! I wish I could have been there. I would love to have heard WSYCGH in that format.

I thought they recognized the mistake they made with tlfr.... I definitely prefer all original (acoustic) versions over the tlfr ones.

I thought the This Left Feels Right songs weren't going to be performed again. Ahh well, I guess if it's only on a small show that's fine. Better not creep onto the next tour.

They're probably not that stupid, right? I mean, there are only about 1,015
ppl in the world who actually own that record and since they don't like
playing unknown songs (judging by the setlists)...

It was an acoustic set, how else are they going to play Bad Name acoustically? And it could not have been TRUE TLFR style because they don't have the instrumetation to make those songs TLFR style.

It sort of reminds me of all the bootlegs that used to float around with an acoustic version of Prayer labeled Prayer '94 when it sounded nothing like Prayer '94.
