I like the idea of possibly starting on BTBMB.... hmmm...

I was at MK 2001 too which is why I suggested to the guys about playing Prayer last - it went down an absolute storm that night and everyone left buzzing!

DC is a tough one because it is a long track for general gig-goers to sit through but greatly appreciated by most Jovi fans. We'll see - the set can always be adjusted slightly on the night so we can possibly gauge how many genuine Jovi fans are in the crowd from earlier songs and then decide whether or not to pull DC out of the bag.

i bet you're looking forward to this considering how long it's taken you to get the band up and running.

when and where's the gig. i'll definetely try and make it over and i'm sure i could bring some mates depending on their fundage.

don't drop dry county whatever you do even if people don';t know it they'll at least appreciate how difficult it must be to play.

It's the Plough Inn in Forfar mate. Apparently it's a 300 capacity venue and the guy who runs it used to own the Cotton Club in Dundee which hosted a lot of Non Jovi's gigs before they disappeared.

Date is Saturday 26th May. I don't know how much he's charging for tickets as there's gonna be three local originals bands to start, a short interlude, then we're on for an hour-hour and half before the headline act (Buck Rodgers) comes on. Half the tickets available have already gone to the headliners' following and the posters advertising our Jovi tribute are going out next week sometime.

Hope to see you there if you can make it mate!

Mmmm... not sure about Bad name at the start... the band has done that since the song was released. Maybe as the one before the last would work well...

About Dry County, it could be good that a rarity was included. Maybe it could be changed night after night.

I suggest:

Prayer (without a capella intro, just like 1995 or 2000) (5:00)
Raise Your Hands (4:50)
Bad Medicine (5:30)
Always (7:10)
Blood On Blood (6:05)
Dry County / raritie(s) (12:00)
Born To Be My Baby (5:10)
Runaway (4:40)
Wanted (5:00)

ENCORE
It’s My Life (3:40)
These Days (6:00)
Bad Name (3:40)
Keep The Faith (6:40)

Well you want to play the songs which are most likely to be known by an average music fan, not specifically a bon jovi fan...espeically as your supporting a Feeder tribute..meanin its likely most people will be Feeder fans not Jovi fans... so why it would be a gd plan to play songs like These Days & Dry County i dont kno...fun to play if your a fan..but u wanna get the crowd involved!

id go for summit like this...

You Give Love A Bad Name
Runaway
Keep The Faith
Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
Bed Of Roses
Wanted Dead Or Alive
In These Arms
It's My Life
Always
Everyday/Have A Nice Day
Bad Medicine
Livin' On A Prayer

ill see if national express give me any joy.

we never got to gig the cotton club but my bro ran a gig there for a new york band he put on tour a few years back and the next night dog's die in hot cars (whatever happened to them?) singer electrocuted himself on a mic and wound up in hopsital in there :-S

Ouch!!

I don't know much about transport links between Glasgow and there mate - sorry. I can tell you that DC has been dropped form the set for the gig though. Without giving too much away, we decided that (as per several peeps' opinions here) despite the fact that we all love playing it, it's not the ideal song to use for a 'general audience' gig. It will be played when we get our first headline slot and the guy said that if we do a good job, he'll definitely have us back for a 2-3 hr full show but, for the time being, we're putting it on hold....

...unless there happens to be a sufficiently vocal part of the audience that insists on its inclusion....

Hope you can make it over - if I knew anybody over in Glasgow that was planning on coming over to see it, I'd put them in touch with you mate. My dad's travelling 350 miles to see it (the nutter!!) but since he's coming up from the southeast, I doubt that's much use....

Hopefully, we'll be playing again soon after this one though and it'll probably be nearer Edinburgh, so I'll keep you posted if you can't make it in four weeks time.

ive checked citylink both from edinburgh and dundee still had no joy after 5pm. it must suck to go shopping or pretty much do anything if you're from forfar.

I'll have a look and if i can find cheap digs in forfar i could go up on the saturday and stay there. if i can ill suggest the missus comes if she can get the night off work and any mates who might fancy a night away. it'd definetely be cool to meet up with you and wayne again.

i can even stand at the back commenting on how i was robbed of the drumming job in the band

evidently i never thought that a place called the plough INN might actually have beds in it.

the missus seems up for it. i'll give them a phone tomorrow n see what their rates are or try and find anywhere close by but i really have no clue what forfar's layout is like.

i'll get back to you about keeping me some tickets
