Why should they retire? If they still enjoy making the music then they shouldnt retire. Millions of post These Days CDs have been sold and I think the fact they haven't retired have actually given them status as a Classic rock and roll band.

Before Crush, most people I knew thought Bon Jovi was a joke, so much so that I never even brought them up to most people. since Crush and more specifically It's My Life it seems people have alot more respect for the band, even if they don't dig the music.

If Bon Jovi had retired, they'd be known as just another hair band that couldn't cut it.

Beats the 1 for every 12 that bands nowdays produce.

So let me get this straight... they should retire because YOU aren't pleased with what they're doing now? How about you just listen to someone else?

Becky

***By the way, I merged the two threads since they're repetitive.

I was in a traffic jam for 2 hours this morning and got tired of HANDS, listened to TD instead and I realized it's the emotions, feelings, passion that I miss in Bounce, Crush and HAND. It was the passion that drew me in in the first place, now I find as much in BJ as I do in Kelly Clarkson and that is sad for me. ..
I was stuck on a train from NYC to Red Bank and I listened to HAND continously. I know it still has the newness factor but right now I really really like the songs a lot.

And no, I don't think they should have retired. They've picked up new fans post These Days, so that wouldn't be the mark of a band that has overstayed their welcome in my opinion.

NO, of course not!!!! i may not like the new albums as much i like the old ones but still it's new bon jovi music and i think they' re much better than all the other bands that exist nowadays. and if they had retired i wouldn't have had the opportunity to see them live! that would suck...

No, because since 2000, they definitely released a handful of songs I would pick for my personal best-of CD. There never ever was an album as consistent as New Jersey since 1988 or as good as KTF since 1992, but there still are great songs on the albums.

They lack motivation nowadays, and that lack of motivation can be easily seen any of the past 4 or 5 albums.

THIS IS A RESPONSE TO YOU OR ANY OTHER NEGATIVE PEOPLE ABOUT BON JOVI AND/OR THEIR MUSIC.........IF YOU ARE SO DOWN ON THE STUFF AFTER "THESE DAYS" MAYBE YOU SHOULD FIND ANOTHER BAND TO FOLLOW. I PERSONALLY THINK THEY GET BETTER AS THEY GO ALONG. I HAVE NEVER HEARD A BAD BON JOVI SONG OR SEEN A BAD BON JOVI SHOW. THEY STILL HAVE IT AND WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE IT!!!!!!! KEEP THEM COMING BON JOVI!!!!! MOST OF US "RESPECT" AND "ADMIRE" YOUR MUSIC. AND I THANK YOU FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS AND HOPE FOR AT LEAST 20 MORE YEARS OF IT!!!!!!!!!
