I like Hysteria by Def Leppard. I was disappointed with subsequent releases. I don't have to buy a CD just because Def Lep releases it, nor do I live to listen to it, nor do I have to go see them on tour. But I have no right to say they should have stopped with Hysteria. It can be hard to separate your love of an album to a love of a band.
If someone has produced a record or two you have really made an emotional connection to, there is always the hope that they will reach those heights again.
It usually takes 3 or 4 less than perfect releases for me to really give up hope! It was definitely worth sticking with Iron Maiden through the Blaze Bailey period.
Hysteria is totally cool.
