In a interview with David Bryan and Tico Torres, they said that they will release a GH album at the end of this (2010) year. It is going to be a 1995-2010 selection with some (2) new songs. They're also planning to release all of their videos on a DVD.

My opinion - Videos - great idea. GH 1995-2010 - pointless. Only one hit which can compete with the previous ones, one obscure US hit and some little known singles and all of the great song from those 15 years are 15 years old because they're from the These Days record. Furthermore - those TD tracks will never fit in a collection with those 2000-2010.
On the other hand - I wouldn't like the idea of releasing a GH 1984-2010. Honestly - speaking about a GH collection, you could replace In And Out Of Love with It's My Life on the Crossroad and you have all of the greatest hits they have ever done (take it with a grain of salt of course). Their single choices from 2000 were usually terrible. Any fan of music will laught when he would hear IML, Everyday, HaND and WWBTF in a row or on one cd. It'd be much better if they released best of album - that also the album tracks could be there. I think more people know Just Older that Say It Isn't So or Thank You For Loving Me and The Distance or Undivided are miles better that any single from Bounce etc. But I'm affraid that if this happens, we will get album tracks like Captain Crash and Compliated instead of those really great songs. They have a bunch of really great songs from this time period but mostly they weren't released as singles or the band/Jon does not like them (eg Any Other Day). So I'm really sceptical.

I agree that any collection album does not have any sense today and I can't imagine anyone who would buy such a collection apart from the diehards who want the two new songs. They can only hope that IML still attracts people after ten years.

I was thinking about this collection and came up with this tracklist. It is not a list of my most favourite songs. It is not a list that I think they will release. It is a list that I think could work - it contains their hits and well known songs, I wanted to add here some ballads and make it ballanced etc. I know there are some flaws and I could change some of the songs for others. Check it out (some explanation in the brackets):

01. Itīs My Life (that's clear)
02. Who Says You Canīt Go Home (their 2nd biggest hit)
03. Superman Tonight (best single from the last album)
04. (You Want To) Make a Memory (most successful single of LH record; the only decent ballad in last years)
05. NEW SONG
06. NEW SONG
07. Bounce (most significant song from this album)
08. These Days (the only song played live from this album on each tour from TD to LH)
09. Undivided (teh best song from Bounce )
10. Just Older (significant song from Crush, played regularly on tours)
11. Whole Lot Of Leavinī (they like this song, the songs carries some message)
12. Have A Nice Day (this one was successful in Europe, let's say their second biggest hit after IML)
13. Janie, Donīt Take Your Love To Town (there should be Midnight In Chesea if anything from DS but I think this one did better)
14. Hey God (TAALS was the most succesfull song from TD but this was also an single and it represents Bon Jovi a a rock band)
15. When We Were Beautiful (their most artistic song from last years)

So that's it. I don't know if there is a point to put there Jon's solo track but songs from DA did better than many singles from the last ten years. I'd put there OWN a a great rock track and to make all albums have their spot (except for TLFR).
What do you think about it. I'd love to hear arguments and not stuff like "this will not work fullstop"
