When you listen to pop stations over there you'd be surprised how much average stuff you have to sit through before you actually hear something you like. You like Rihanna? Let's bombard you with 35 other acts that make similar music! And as soon as you've found some sort of rock station you're bound to hear the same 20 classics over and over again "because it attracts listeners." At a certain point whenever I'd get in the car in America I'd hear either Paradise City or You Can't Always Get What You Want. Any time of day I was bound to hear it, no matter how long the car ride would be.

So I get Dan's point of view, but at the same time, therefore American radio doesn't really show what's popular or hip at the moment either because as soon as you don't fit the current popular genre over there you just won't get played over there at all. I can't imagine that ever happening on, for example, SWR3 or Einslive.

You can just say American radio sucks. No one will be offended. It's the truth (sadly).

Not to say all music in America is bad. Far from it. There are some fantastic bands over here. Unfortunately, they'll never get any airtime because they're not "hip".

Fair enough, but the "this isn't even music, it's just noise!" argument is a laughable cliché, and "this doesn't even qualifiy as music" is extremely close to it. I don't like dubstep either, but won't pull the THIS ISN'T EVEN MUSIC card. Just say you don't like it.

And for the record, RockAntenne is the way to go if I have a say when chosing stations

Exactly the point I was about to raise. It's dreadful, as is Into the Echo.

I like it better than the title track to be honest with you. It's got the same positive kind of message but it doesn't sound preachy.

I agree, but only because wanking is good. Not brilliant and not like the real thing, but good and enjoyable, and at times bloody fantastic and just what you need.

I feel the same way. I think T2H is better than most of the album, and certainly better than the title track. I just think WAN is just very boring. It is 5th generation IML and every rewrite, it gets more deluted... with the exception of HAND (maybe). But when they write a song that makes WWBTF seem interesting and fresh, it's time to retire it.

And people saying the lyrics to T2H suck... I just don't get it. The bridge is generic, weak sauce, but the rest is pretty good. As a whole, again, I think it's much better than most of the rest of album.

I like the song (as I like almost every song on WAN). It reminds me of the songs of the HAND album.

That said, it´s funny to see how the concept of an album is changing (or has already changed):

Nowadays I find it very hard to see the real difference between an album song and a bonus track. Now that we really don´t use any physical copies anymore, an album is merely just a batch of new songs released simuotaneusly under the same title. I´ve got all the WAN songs on my iPod anyway, it really doesn´t seem to matter which songs made it to the physical album or the standard version.

I miss the days of hunting rare bonus tracks. Back in 1989, I had to travel to London to get Love Is War. I remember standing in the HMV shop on Oxford Street, finally holding the Living In Sin maxi single in my hands, thinking, "I finally got it!"

I don't really like it.

I do like 'Into The Echo', though.
