The documentary, WHEN WE WERE BEAUTIFUL, premiering Saturday, October 24th at 9 PM ET/PT on SHOWTIME offers an intimate glimpse at these globally celebrated icons who remain, at their core, a band of brothers from New Jersey.
Directed by filmmaker and photographer Phil Griffin and produced by Academy Award®-and Emmy®-winning producers @radical.media, the documentary was filmed on the road and behind the scenes with the band during their 2008 Lost Highway World Tour, which famously came to a close with a historic concert in New York City’s Central Park.
At the height of their success—with another number one album and the number one grossing tour of 2008 in Billboard magazine — Bon Jovi: When We Were Beautiful reveals the secrets behind this legendary band’s determined and charismatic leader Jon Bon Jovi, and band members Richie Sambora, David Bryan, and Tico Torres.

Threading intimate band-member interviews with scenes of life on the road, WHEN WE WERE BEAUTIFUL vividly portrays how the band made it through the rough patches, how they reach consensus on their priorities, and how Jon leads them with strength and compassion. Thanks for the information. No Showtime at my house. I'm sure I won't luck out and have that be a free weekend either. Hmm . . . must come up with a plan . . .

I wonder if this will be released on DVD, or if Showtime will be the only way to see it.

They'll be a DVD, if not soley through the band, Showtime has a DVD release division. Either way, very exciting.

What is 'Showtime'

Did nobody fund this documentry for a proper release?

I thought they were going to show this in picture houses etc.

I don't have Showtime either. Do they broadcast in HD or standard definition only? Anybody know?

If it's HD I will pay for a subscription for a month or two.

According to Wikipedia Kathleen, Showtime DOES broadcast in HD.

They have both.

If you have Verizon Fios you can add showtime and something else to your package for $15.00 a month. I think you can even preview it for 3 months free then cancel if not interested. At least that was the deal we got not to long ago.
