Yeah, I remember hearing a radio interview with Jon once and he described it (very loosely) as follows:

Jon and Richie were at an awards show (the Grammy's I think) and they saw Belinda Carlisle. Jon said "we want to talk to you" in these Godfather like voices (Jon impersonation was pretty funny) and all she said was "it wasn't me it was manager" and basically ran away. Jon finished his account of the story by saying "who cares, she's probably waiting tables now anyway".
