Singles

I don't call myself a collector, I call myself a fan. I buy the singles for the posters, the b-sides, the music videos, the EPK's, and whatever else may be bundled with them.

Some people collect it all so they can brag "I've got all the singles", I just like the music. With the current Bounce singles, I have managed to get quite a few extra tracks (demos). This is why I buy singles.

First off, Crush only had three singles (OWN was from OWN Live). Secondly, Bounce has not yet been released as a single. At least not yet...

I think Everyday was a good choice for a single. But Misunderstood and AALY was bad ideas... I think BOUNCE should be released sooner because now is a bit too late to boost album sales very much...Both Misunderstood and AALY make people believe Bon Jovi is IN FACT a pop band or not really a real rock band like ACDC or Guns n Roses (what in fact, they ARE!)... Bon Jovi ballads although is a trademark fot the band does not cause strong impact anymore (like Bed of Roses, I´ll be there for You or Always). I just don´t understand why almost nobody realizes that! . Another good choice for a single IMO would be Love Me Back To Life (much better than Misunderstood). Hook Me Up or The Distance ,although not awesome would be OK too...

Bounce was released as a single to radio and i own it ! it has Bounce and Misunderstood on it and the cover is blue like the misunderstood single, with misunderstood, acoustic everyday and live undivided

Though Bounce has been released in the US.

I think the reason why Bon Jovi are now regarded as a pop band is because they've used lots of technology on their new album, with some sounds that are often used in some pop music. I'd say Bounce and Everyday are rock songs, but I can't help but hear some of the pop sounds along with the talk box. They've tried to do a similar thing with singles as they did with Crush but Everyday isn't as good as IML, Misunderstood is about as good as Say It Isn't So, and AALY is nearly the same as TYFLM. They are weak songs. I also think they've over done the talk box and technological sounds on Bounce (the album).

The only two songs I see getting any airplay from Bounce are undivided and Bounce. I fear that AALY is gonna be one of their biggest singles flops for years in the UK.

Bon Jovi have become too mainstream with recent single releases, Its My Life and Everyday. They tried to break the younger generation market by doing so and it sort of worked.
They tried to create a mainstream sound to sound like other bands/groups at the time and in my opinion it didnt work. Slow singles only do well in the charts at certain times of the year and releasing AALY now will be a big mistake cos no-one will play it on the radio.

Also has anyone heard anything more about rereleasing the hardest part is the night (updating it).....do u think they will do it for the box set?

That is one of my favourite songs.....I really hope they do it
