Cavi, thanks again for your reply.

I suppose that what I'm trying to say about your site could basically be summarised as follows -- as long as you don't post ANY INFORMATION about tour dates that isn't already available on www.backstagejbj.com or www.bonjovi.com, what you're doing could indeed benefit the German fan base and especially those who can't speak English too well. But if you start scooping information about tour dates before they're announced on the two official sites, that is, before the band wants the information to be announced, that's when you start going off the track to the wrong direction and acting against the band's, BJM's and the record label's wishes. And that wouldn't be cool at all, would it? To deliberately act disrespectfully and against the band's wishes.

It doesn't matter what the German record label or the German promotors say -- the band has made it clear through Backstage and the Info HQ that they want and have every right to be the ones to release important information such as tour dates. And as good as your intentions might be, if you start releasing tour information and tour dates on your site before the official sites have announced them, you're still acting against the band's wishes. But like I said, if you're only gonna release information that is already available on the two official sites, then there's nothing wrong with what you do...and it might in fact be good for those fans who don't go to the official sites because of the language barrier.

Before anybody says anything that could start a fight I'd like to ask you to do that at the backstage board. That's what it's there for.
Thanks.

Anu, are you BJ's attorney at law?

Just a question, sometimes I got the feeling in the past month.

that's it's exactly why the actual dates are written in "italic" and not normal ....
maybe they're just a fake ..... who knows ..... but those are not confirmed yet and when they get confimed we are going to make them in a normal "font" but to be aware of problems like .... confirmed or not confirmed .... we wrote them in "italic"

actually nobody had any problems with the site .... my email addy and the email addy of the other webmasters of the site are written down to be contacted and if bswjbj.com, bj.com, bj info hq or anybody from bjm or the label itself will have a problem with what we do i'm sure they're going to contact us by themselves and they'll tell us what we are alowed to "do" and what not. so i think you should not write you post as you are a member of those and let them built their own opinion to the site and get in touch with us if you would like to get things changed ......

sorry,,...... but that's how i think ..... i know what bon jovi like and what not ... but have you heard this from the boys temselves? this is always written down by the Oompas or other peoples and sure ... they will be the first one to get contacted because they're the Info hq ......

bye cavi

Hello!?

Woke up this morning with a funny feeling
wasn't really sure what it was all about
but it felt like I was dissappearing
so I ran to the mirror to check it out.
I said "Here I am, here I am"
but why do I feel like the invisible man?

Well because the backstage board is where all the chicken fights happen, isn't it? If I want to read something interesting I come here and if I want to be entertained then I go to the backstage board.

No Chris, I am not their lawyer. I'm not a lawyer at all, just a measly little English translator. And I'm aware that because I tend to have strong opinions about things and I'm not afraid to voice those opinions, I'm not exactly everyone's favourite pet around here.

But I have to admit that it pi$$es me off BIG TIME when fans don't know how to behave... When fans start thinking that
a) the band somehow "owes" them something, whether that be a full concert tour in their territory or a personal meet'n'greet or whatever, and
b) since the band isn't providing the fans with exactly the kind of information they want, it is the fans' right or even their obligation to dig up that information by themselves and spread it around -- no matter how much harm or inconvenience they might cause to various people and organisations in the process.

In short, it pi$$es me off when fans blatantly refuse to respect the band and their wishes, when they take it upon themselves to dig up whatever information they can find and scoop it in the net. Whether that is done with the best intentions or to boost someone's ego is irrelevant -- the fact of the matter is that since we all know how the band wants things to be handled, if we deliberately choose to ignore their wishes and find out things on our own, we're behaving in a very disrespectful manner towards the very same people we all claim to love so much, whose music we all claim to adore.

I don't know about other people, but when I like someone, I also respect them -- I respect and value their opinions, their thoughts, their ideas. And if I respect someone, I wouldn't want to do something they might see as disrespectful behaviour towards them. It's really that simple.

Edit: I would just like to add a tiny little positive note to this otherwise somewhat harsh post. Like I said in my first message, I do appreciate the work Cavi and the others are doing in building and maintaining the Bon Jovi Tour Archive on the Bon Jovi Tour Info site. It really is great that fans can send in their reviews and pics and that you're trying to get setlists etc from as many shows as possible throughout the band's career. I know there are some similar tour archives in the net already, but none of the archives I've seen look even half as professional as this one. If only you could make the Tour Archive the primary function of the site and lay off the info stuff, the Bon Jovi Tour Info site would be a magnificent source of past tour information for all fans around the world.

LOL Unknown - Each post gets better

Concerning the tour dates - .....No, we've had this discussion before - didn't get anywhere.

Bottom line is I suppose its Spenic & Cavi's site, they can do what they want.

Jovian; if I told you now that I have obtained future tour dates, then you would be interested to hear them. Stop being miss goodie two shoes all of the time.

It would be good if this site had an ignore button, cos you could all ignore my insulting comments, and Jovians nagging.
