But donīt you think that youīd be atleast a tiny biny little interested in knowing the tourdates if revealed before BJ.Com or Backstage? Would you or would you not want to know the tourdates before Backstage confirms them? If not, then you truly are one helluva fan with a lot of patience ! I Couldnīt do it, Iīd go right there where I could find them.

I agree that the band does NOT owe us anything nor do we owe them anything either.

I Donīt really give a S-H-I-T if someone likes to start rumours about tourdates that are marked very clearly as unconfirmed. Just donīt blame the siteīs Webmaster about that as it isnīt their gig. And if BJM, Backstage, Universal + others would really have a big problem with the site, donīt you think that they would have already contacted and told to shut it down?

This is getting ridiculous, if you want to fight about this then go to the Backstage!
And besides, every class has its troublemakers and the good students, donīt they?

To tell you the truth, I'd rather read them on Backstage. Why? Cause that site and the bonjovi.com site are the only truly reliable sites. Sure, if I heard that there was a site with some potential tour dates on it, I'd go and have a look... But I wouldn't believe them until I saw them on one of the two official sites.

Ummm whose gig is it then, if not the webmasters' of that particular site? If webmasters can't be held responsible for the content of their website, I sure as heck would like to know who is it that could be held responsible.

How do you know they aren't working on it right now? The people in the "Bon Jovi Camp" are a LOT more clever and intelligent than what fans give them credit for. Do you really think someone from BJM or the record company headquarters would actually contact the webmasters by themselves? And run the risk of having their contact information spread around the internet? They have their ways of dealing with these things if they feel it's worth the hassle.

I'm honestly not looking to start a fight or to cause trouble. I'm simply asking this -- how hard can it be for fans to respect the band? How difficult can it be to honour the band's wishes and leave them in charge of their own businesses?

What I meant was that it is not their fault if some irresponsible person starts to spread these dates as real eventhough they are clearly marked as unconfirmed.

And I didnīt think you were here to fight, Iīm not here to fight either.
Peace.

So, i think this topic is ridiculous!
Jovian, you don't want to start a fight? So then, please be quiet and don't care about other people that own a successful website.

i won't write anything to this topic, because it doesn't have to do anything with our website bonjovitour.info, you only critizise other fansites, so try to make it better or go to the official sites, because, as you wrote, they are much more reliable, and that's fo sure right. but if every site on the web would be really reliable, what would then be the web for? if there weren't any failures on the web it would be very boring. perhaps our site exists to make BJ fans discuss about the correctness of dates? How do you know? so, please stop writing something to this and go to YOUR SITES, THE ONES YOU LIKE, and don't care about sites you don't like... you don't believe, but it's that easy!

Spenic, I'm only calling it what it is and telling it like it is. If you don't like what I say, you can choose not to read my messages. Or maybe you should think about altering the website a bit, then you wouldn't have to deal with people like me who can't stand it when people who call themselves fans are deliberately disrespecting the band.

Hi,

We have actually been keeping an eye on this topic (as with all topics where ppl having opposing views), however don't feel it is getting out of hand at the moment.
This board is a medium where ppl can have in depth & critical discussions, and as long as these don't result in abusive / insulting posts (as this one hasn't) then we feel obliged to let them continue.

The best way to avoid the argument getting any further is simply not to reply. (Yes it is an argument that won't come to a conclusion - but that is no reason for us to close it )

However be safe in the knowledge that we have our eyes on this topic, & if it starts becoming abusive, with personal insults being thrown in, it will be closed.

PS - Can future post issues / complaints be made via PM & not on the message boards

Thanks

Mike

Thanks. I too think I had a creative day yesterday.
And now I haven't been here for only 24 hours and totally missed to moderate it.
