CC, we're all just peachy and having a great day.

Question:
Hi there! Just noticed that two people asked if www.bonjovitour.info is an official site. perhaps you could release this article on the web, so that no one has to ask anything about the status of the site. It's surely not official and we first put in any tourdates we could get anywhere. those dates that were not sure, were printed "italic" so that everyone could see, that those dates were not confirmed by the official BJ Management. We didn't want to release wrong dates, we wanted to make BJ Fans out there talk about dates, about the correctness of the dates and so on. I hope you aren't angry about our site, we just have contact to Island Mercury Germany, they send us infos and so on. so we are only in a small way affiliated with them! Now we were told to take of the insure dates and i did that of course immediately! I don't want to have a conflict with Bon Jovi, I just want to unite my two hobbies: Bon Jovi and Webdesign! So I hope you accept the solution of only releasing tourdates, after the person to turn to of Island Mercury gave me the OK to put them online! Sorry for the problems, I only want to have a good website, inform the visitors about BJ and have a little fun with the site! Thank You, perhaps you could contact me (specht.nici@gmx.net) and tell me directly about your reaction on this message! bye, Nicolai

Answer:
You are NOT affiliated with Mercury Germany. Not even in a small way. Remove that information from your site. Your seemingly innocent desire to post tourdates, whether they are real or not, is in conflict with a claim that you're affiliated with the record company. What your site is doing is posting information that fans are taking away and believing is real.. it causes more harm than good. You are NOT affiliated with the band or their label and whoever at the label is giving you info isn't even giving you the right info. Bon Jovi Fans, when Bon Jovi is ready to release their tour info, they'll do it on their own official sites (www.bonjovi.com and www.backstagejbj.com) - anything you read and choose to believe elsewhere is at your own risk.

BJM are onto it, looks like you don't have to worry your pretty little head about it.

I think it really sucks that such little pissers like Jovian think they should play sheriff for everybody!
I don't feel affiliated with Mercury but how shall I call the work with Mercury because they give us tourdates and partly sponsor our idea!

Jovian, you really suck! It's really unfair of you to laugh at us or want us to close the site! In my opinion you should only shut up and let us alone with our website. if anyone likes the site he or she shall visit it and if you anger about the site, then put your finger in your ass and feel happy! It's kinda ridiculous and you think you can get something out of telling anything bad on the web to bonjovi.com! I don't worry if I get kicked or deleted in this board (sorry admins...) but Jovian is the best person with an unmoral character!
I'm really disappointed of BJ HQ... if you read through many of their answers you will notice that they answer no question in a friendly way! They also suck, but not as much as you, Jovian!

So stay in Finland and freeze your ass!

I confess that I'm stupid, but why do they keep saying that "fans should not contact the record company, the concert promotors or BJM in order to find out or scoop information about new releases or tour dates"?

Anyway, the Oompas are definitely the rudest, most obnoxious official sources whose ramblings I've ever had the "pleasure" to read, and they seem really jealous of any info the unofficial sites may have. They should take a chill pill or ditch the bïtch attitude. So what if some fan site posts alleged tour dates? So what if they're false as long as the webmaster(s) don't claim them to be 100% correct? Just take everything you read on the Web with a grain of salt, especially when the info concerns tour dates.

P.S: I'd be happy to contribute to the bonjovitour.info database if I can come up with anything useful.

so, i wrote again to BJ HQ...

"according to my last article about bonjovitour.info i have to say, that affiliated is not the right expression, there your right, but look at our site, you still say that there is wrong bounce-information on it! Tell me where? We only have official announced dates in the Bounce-section! I'd really like to know where on my site wrong tourdates are... tell me, please! We only have the dates of Australia which were announced on bonjovi.com!!! Now I'll use this HQ section to critizise you! People can read any answer, there won't be any in which you wrote in a friendly way! Every fan gets his/her answer but the way you write is a real impudence! Sorry, although I know that you'll get a bad opinion of myself, I have to write this. I don't know if anyone dared to tell you, but perhaps you should try to answer in a friendly way, so that reading the answers is not an agony, as it is at the moment! I told you that the site wasn't made to make the Management of Bon Jovi angry. I only got one request: Tell me any Bounce-Tourdate on my site, that isn't correct!"

Now I've written in the same rude way as they always do! Perhaps I risk to close my site, but I think noone didn't dare to say anything to them, so perhaps this article wakes them up! I took off all Mercury logos, every link to mercury and even every word "mercury"! I hiope this will last to get those little bitches of BJ HQ silent!

I can't wait for the answer... I'm so excited which lies they will now post!

I'd bet my money on a "we're-trying-to-be-oh-so-sarcastic-again-with-this-lame-answer-of-ours" reply or some kind of a threat.

Because Jon is a control freak. He's a workaholic and a control freak who wants to be "hands on" in everything the band does, releases and announces.

In other words, Jon and the band want and indeed have every right to be the ones to announce all important information concerning the band. That includes tour dates, release dates and other such important facts.

The thing is, we all know Jon is a control freak and he wants to be "hands on" in everything band-related. Yet still there are many many fans who intentionally want to engage in activities that would pi$$ Jon off big time if he happened to find out about them. Like this tour date thing, for instance -- why do you think the Oompas keep telling us not to try to dig up the tour info? It's not because they don't like it that fans snoop around and might end up revealing their plans before the official sites have announced them, it's because Jon doesn't like it. It's his band, they are his people, it's his tour information. How would you feel if you were planning a HUGE surprise for your friends and then somebody came and blurted it all out in front of the very people you were gonna surprise? Somehow I don't think that things like gratitude and joy would be the first emotions you'd feel...

Like I said somewhere along the line (I think?), when I like someone, I also respect them. And I like Bon Jovi, so I respect them. But I don't just respect Jon as a talented song-writer and a performer, I also respect him as a human being -- as a husband, a father, a family man, a philanthropist, a benefactor, a loyal friend to those who have the privilege of having him as a friend. And knowing that it's more than likely that the kind of "information fishing" some fans are desperate to engage in would pi$$ Jon off in a major way, I wouldn't want to do such a thing myself. And quite frankly, I can't understand why people who call themselves dedicated fans and "die-hard" fans would want to do such a thing either. It all boils down to respect, I guess... Respect and being able to see the band members as human beings instead of some gods on a pedestal.

There have been a few calls to delete this thread, & as it stands, it seems it can only go one way.

Hence for the time being it has been locked.
