Default Slippery When Wet vs. Hysteria

Ok, another poll! This time between Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet and Hysteria by Def Leppard. Two of the most successful rock albums of the 80's and and seeing as these two bands are fairly similar, I just wondered which album everyone prefered. This poll only really applies to those who actually like BOTH bands.

Almost impossible to decide muscially, but I went with Slippery because I'm slightly biased, and I know that although Desmond Child helped BJ a little, the band did at least co-write all of the songs from that record.

I played both of these to death in the 80's. But I still go back and listen to SWW. I hear songs from Hysteria on the radio and remember them fondly, but it doesn't inspire to pull out the CD and give it a listen. Actually, I don't think I even upgraded Hysteria from tape to CD.

I guess I can say i'm in sort of a same situation, only reversed. I hardly ever listen to sww, but hysteria still sounds quite good to me. Both are kinda cheesy albums, I do like Lep's High'n'dry a lot more....I must add tho, I never thought sww was "that" good anyway. When I bought the album, it was good and enjoyable, but with exception on few tunes it wore out quite quickly. Listening to hysteria, it's like hearing it after longish time there's another good song popping up. next time another and so on. Dunno, for me hysteria just survived the years, sww didn't.

I don't really see any point in making polls Jovi vs. whatever in here, u never get neutral answers........

I´ve spent the last ~2 years listening Hysteria at least once a week and I´ve hardly touched Slippery so I´m giving my vote to the guys from Sheffield.

I don't even own Hysteria, but then again I am not really a big Def Leppard fan.
