Both huge albums. I prefer Slippery though.

depends. new album or not, as with most of bands that have been going on like forever, there's plenty to choose from. I don't mind hearing old tunes every tour, I just wish they (or any band) would bleed their hearts into them instead of giving just a routine performances.

For example Metallica's recent tour. 2 songs from new album. but they do put up a killer show. I think it's a matter of attitude, some bands want to stun the audience, some wants to go through their set & go home. or wherever.
In Def Leppards case, there is plenty to choose from and they simply aren't. For the most part they play the Vault album live with a couple of new songs. Yes, last tour they played the first side of High N Dry..at least when I saw them..but they are still skipping over a lot of great material that has never seen the stage from post-Adrenalize 90s. There is also older material that isn't getting touched like Mirror, Mirror, Die Hard, Billy's Got a Gun, Gods of War (played a couple of times on the Euphoria tour..that's it). I really don't need to hear Armageddon It again. For that matter I'll be happy if I never have to hear Pour Some Sugar On Me...of course they'll do it..but it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't surrounded by a bunch of other also overplayed songs.
I totally agree. and I love pre-hysteria lep. pyromania was/is a killer album, too bad it seems to be forgotten. same goes with high'n'dry.
same thing with every band out there....more suprises instead of safe selection of hits please......
but i was also trying to point out that bon jovi is just as bad with their song selections........I would be glad to see them dropping bad med/shout for example.

I think all the songs on Hysteria are excellent and I only think a few songs from SWW are excellent.
And the late Steve Clark was the greatest songwriter/guitarist ever.
Him and Phil made an excellent twin guitar sound!

Although I've not seen then live before, I do know that very little gets played from then Slang album post to that era. Occasionally they'll play the title track Slang, but thats only to give it a little bit of attention IMO and also its the more "Leppard-sounding" track on that album. There are some great tunes on that record and it's sad that they dismiss it. It's my favourite Lep album and the band themselves are proud of it, so I dont see why they dont give it was much credit at live shows.
