These days intro is almost exactly like the Shot through the heart intro reversed when you play it on guitar. Could that be the source for the idea?

It's really just sus2 chords... the progression itself is hardly new neither (C D em I think? not sure about the key), so really, it's more about the licks, the rhythm and the vocal melody with this one.

Nothing new for Richie to take a little bit too much credit for something he's been part of. If he wrote one word for a song, it surely is his song

The same like he was doing "a stadium tour" in Australia.

I try to stay out of this Jon and Richie fued as much as possible because i really don't care. This has been on going for years but just more public now. Plus he bailed mid-tour which is really f-ed up.

It obvious that Richie is out to prove himself as not only a great songwriter, but an intricate part of the Bon Jovi song catalog. He's only mentioned it a million times.

My take is simple. When they write together, I think Iit's pretty equal but because Richie songs are limited on albums, he's making something more than what it really is. I don't believe those credits anyway. Richie's got credit on WAN but I doubt he contributed the same way he did on lets say Wanted or These Days becasue he would be doing songs off WAN if that was the case.

You can conclude a lot just by understanding who they were back then, their personalities, musical direction, and relationship.

I just think that Richie was a lot more involved all around back in the day and because of that, he's making it seem bigger than what it really is.
