Once I heard that Tico and Dave were brought in to record their parts at the very end of the album process I knew the band were finished as a recording beast. Jon and Richie were always the heart of the band but you can really hear the difference when everyone chips in, little intricacies here and there make music special. Jon and his drum machine make for cookie cutter music that requires no repeat listens.

I don't know man, there's so much mixed info about the 80s and 90s. I remember David saying that this record was the most "band" album they've done, that he participated a lot in the process.

Well he's talking bollocks because we all know Richie had very little to do with the album and Tico told Jon to f*ck off when he asked him into the studio. I believe that Dave may have had a bit more involvement due to Richie's absence but to say it's "the most band album" is just the usual hyperbole thrown around the pre release of albums to gain interest.

I think he was talking about the These Days album (and first I thought your comment was referring to that one as well, which is why I found it a little confusing).

When they were doing the promo for Bounce, Jon said that it was the most "Jon & Richie album" since SWW. Take that for whatever you want.

No tico, I was talking about These Days.

No doubt, WAN is a Jon album for sure.

Well shit I know These Days is a proper band record!

Maybe the last proper organic one at that.
