Default so what's next

I was just curious how many of you believe that the boys should pack it in, in terms of their legacy. If you don't think they should pack it in, then what do they do next? At this stage what could they possibly do that is not a repeat of past glories? I personally don't believe this, but this was brough to my attention by a lessor jovi fan. He basically said at this stage, what are they doing this for...ego, well in that case that is just sad. After seeing them on the last tour they did look like one of those athletes that is still worth watching but is not the showstopper that he once was. Your thoughts...........

To me, why should "we" as fans determine when the band calls it a day. As long as they are feeling creative and want to produce new music and then tour and share that music then who are we to dictate what they do. As of late, Jon and Richie have spent time writing in Nashville and have been in LA working with John Shanks again, so who knows what will become of that project.

Subjective to each fan. To sort of sum up what I told Becky, and why she's quoting me, I'm a fan of the band and the bands writing. Not so much the genre they do. As long as they're being creative, I'll be interested in them. I ain't worried in the least. Let em shake it up a bit.

I totally agree with Matt. Bon Jovi has been consistently making music I enjoy for 20 years. I like their diversity and that's the major reason that I'm still a fan this many years in. They don't bore me. I'm not worried and I think they have a very good handle on their own career. Jon and Richie seem very excited about the direction they're taking and I have no reason to worry.

I don't see why the band should pack it in, unless they are ready to. As others have said they have been making music I enjoy for over 20 years, this new project seems interesting and I'm looking forward to see what comes out of it.

On the last tour they seemed to really enjoy it again, and that's what fans want to see, a band having a good time and feeling priviledged to play for them. (except Hull and maybe a couple of others in the states where Jon was sick) The dedication the members have to the band can only be proven by Richie's sacrifices on this tour and that even with all that shit with the arm and divorce they stil never missed a show, that's a pro I don't care what anyone says, If he does that then it's because he really enjoys what he does and finds it satisfying.

Hmmm, that's interesting. Maybe they're working with John Shanks for a couple of new songs for the greatest hits record. Whatever the reason turns out be, I'm just glad they're working with John Shanks again.

WHAT?! Oh my god, where did you hear this?

That's fantastic. I really like John's production style. He always gets a nice full sound out of who he works with.

I hope it's okay I said something. Being in LA and working with John Shanks was shared in the news section of the fanclub site just recently.

Gotcha. I really need to renew that then if they've got new news. You totally made my day, thanks.
