Personally I don't think they will take much of a break. Maybe a few months to get over the tour and spend time with their families, but I think they could be writing again by early next year. Obviously this is just a hope, but I don't see why they would need a break. They've only done 2 albums (not including OWNL, although they did tour it), and in-between Jon has managed a movie and some TV work. Why stop now?

If they did start writing early next year, we could have a new album by spring 2005, with a tour running from summer to winter (do they do that? lol)

You really are obsessed with this Richie acting thing aren't you, Becky?
Obsessed? Not at all. But I find it interesting.

I think Richie will make us enjoy with a GREAT third solo album.

No, I'm not!!! Although you obviously seem to think I am!!! I don't mean it that heavy, but Queen died when Freddie did. I was (still am, I guess) a massive Queen fan and I was devasted when he died. It's such an abrupt end to a band. At least if BJ break up, there is always a possiblity they can get back together. That can't happen when the lead singer dies.

Yeah, you're right. Forgot about that. My fault.

Who ARE you to be rolling your eyes at someone who is merely thanking the band? Are you so high and mighty that you can't admit that you, too, were ONCE a fan of this band? I'm not saying you have to thank them (that would be a sight now wouldn't it?) but denouncing a surprisingly positive thread is very immature and really quite unecessary.

I want to thank the band too. Some of us are forgetting that without the band, we wouldn't be posting here or having the privilege of rolling our eyes at posts like this

I am a still a fan of this band. But not because what they do now, I'm a fan of what they've done. I rolled my eyes because it looks like Santa Fe says it like her life would be worthless without Bon Jovi. But sure, if they'd break up I wouldn't like it for sure.

And why do you thank a band for just doing their thing ? If they'd give free concerts I'd thank them, but you just buy their stuff, the only thing that is different about Bon Jovi is that you apreciate their music much more.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

There ARE fans that have truly been affect by Bon Jovi's music. I'll tell you the truth, Bon Jovi did help me through some hard times and if I were given the opportunity to thank them for that, I would. I know my life would have turned out somewhat different if it wasn't for them, I don't know if it would have been for better or for worse but it would have been different.

Bon Jovi is beyond the point of breaking up, that's nothing to worry about.

Then it's beyond you to be allowed to say thank you. I'm not saying you have to, let others do it if they feel like it. Saying you'd be thanking them for giving free concerts is just as bad as a band being in it only for the money, just reversed.

It' a habit to say thanks when someone does something you appreciate you know, it's not that you say it because you want something in return.

....You'd think this would be straightforward....
