Default Songs and Producers

While there's nothing really going on in Bon Jovi World, I thought it would be fun to start a thread on songs and their producers. For example, we all know that It's My Life was Luke Ebbin...but would you rather it was a different producer? I was listening to Crush the other day and the production is so different to Shanks' "wall of sound" and it got me thinking how other songs would have turned out with different producers.

I think the Majority vote would be Bob Rock again, well that would be my choice anyway. the mans a genius and gets the best out of the band ! However, who ever they get, whether it be Rock, Ebbin, Shanks etc they will do exactly as Jon wants sound wise.....Also Pat Leonard who worked on i think TLFR album, Jon said hes deffo doing the next album, of course it never happened !

JUST GIVE ME THE WALL OF SOUND !

I've been thinking about this, it's been said Bob Rock and Bruce were supposed to do what became Crush until Bruce died. Has it ever been said why Bob Rock wasn't involved at that point? I read something somewhere that they were going to co-produce the album so I wasn't sure if that was bologna or not.

I don't think Bob was too excited of what became KTF! I read he was really proud of the album and what they did with it but wasn't really into what the band had become no longer feeling like a unit and more like Jon's E street band. I'm paraphrasing, I wish I could remember the name of the podcast that addressed this, but it was a very long interview and they talked about Bob Rock's career going through every band he produced, not a lot about Jovi, mostly metallica. If anyone remembers please post it, i kind of want to listen again ....

Have you heard Bob Rock's latest productions? The new Mötley Crüe tracks as well as the last Offspring album had terrible sonics. Even the mixing was awful at times!

The production of that RSO album is very generic also. Bob Rock didn't do a good job there
