wasnt I believe one of the first written for faith, so that would've been in that era right?

I didn't hear that. I believe Starting all over again was the first, actually. Well, the first one they wrote and Bed of Roses was the first one Jon brought to the band.

What about that story about Jon writing Dry County then playing it to Richie over the phone?

That's a very good point. I know I heard Jon say in an video interview, in 92/93 that Bed of Roses was the first one he brought to the band. If the DC story is true, and I'm not saying it isn't, that would have been over the phone and to Richie. I think he meant the whole band. Not sure.
