it would fit on the tlfr version and nobody wants to hear those. What on earth do violins have to do on Roses or I'll be there for you, as that are proper ballads.

Good God. The harmonica ending for Born To Be My Baby they did in the 80s was a cool idea. But, MAN! Cheesy as ****, and not in a good way, because it manages to still come over as serious... Ugh. UGH!

Is REALLY hope this "country experiment" will, despite its sucess, be laid to rest after this tour. I'd much rather have the drop-d guitars and Complicated-rhymes back.

And why is the violin automatically associated with Country? That's another completely inaccurate perception. It's just another string instrument, and it blends in very well on some of their songs. I mean it's not like they're throwing a steel drum or a trombone into the mix...

To be honest, I think a String Bass would be bad ass on some of their songs. Some of their more bluesy stuff would work really well with a string bass.

And back to the violin, listen to anything by Trans-Siberian Orchestra or "The Oddysey" by Incubus if you need more proof that any part of an orchestra can mesh with a rock band.

Because that's why Bon Jovi is using them for. To country it up. Ofcourse everyone knows it's not sounding more country, but that's not the point at all.

Salaam Aleikum,

I actually happen to like the violin in some songs (it was good in TD, and I don't think it detracted from Richie at all. The vid I saw of Wild In The Streets sucked big time though.
BTW, When they played Blood on Blood on the 28 (which I believe was the second time time they played it at the Pru) I'm 99.9% sure she wasn't on stage.
And, you can't say they've added it to BOR, as they haven't played the real BOR, only the TLFR rape.

It's a fiddle, which is country, it's not the classical violin.

I forgot to mention Bells of Freedom and Joey the violin/fiddle is all over the place in these 2 songs. The guitarsolo in Joey is replaced with a fiddlesolo.

Great! That just makes my decision of avoiding this shitty tour even easier.

And they have the balls to charge a fortune for tickets to see this shit.

I took my money somewhere else. I got tickets for Iron Maiden instead. At least with them YOU KNOW there will be no country bullshit.
