There are plenty of songs played currently that Jon can't sing all too well, so might as well shuffle some different ones in there.

play those songs anyway. Jon's vocal flaws won't be so evident in a live setting, especially if you and the people around you are singing the songs. personally, i don't usually take much notice of Jon's voice anyway, so if the arrangements sound good, i'll take it.

I don't think those times they played Always this tour sounded that bad. You guys say like is horrible to listen to, but it's not that bad. So, I think they should try, at least. If it don't work, try acoustic.

As many people stated, live you don't find it so overwhelmingly bad, you are singing jumping and in sheer ecstasy that the rare song was played.

I'd say lower the key or play them acoustic or just sing it like shit, but keep the things interesting.
I'd love the show to be something unpredictable where they could come up with an acoustic rendition of blame it on the love and the next time a full on electric little bit of soul. Bon Jovi could SO EASILY keep us on our toes with that huge and awesome back catalogue.

Why not? He can still sing Shot Through the Heart (downtuned) with little difficulty. As long as he can take it, I'm okay with it.

Shot Thru the Heart is one of my all-time favorites. I wish they had continued to play it on the Circle Tour. I think it's funny that on iTunes it's one of their top selling songs, surely because people download it by accident. But for that reason, there's probably an unusually high amount of casual fans that have heard it, and thus they should play it more often!

Just take the key down. Very, very easy fix. I don't know why singing a song in a lower key is such a blow to someone's pride, I've seen other artists have the exact same attitude. Better to change the key now while he still has some voice left then end up ****ing it beyond repair and sounding like Meat Loaf does now in ten years time.

You people don't seem to know how hard it is to transpose rock songs. Something like Raise Your Hands is very hard or even impossible to transpose to a key that would be sensible.

Basically anything without a riff is easier, but a lot of the older stuff is based around riffs that cannot be moved from the original positions without affecting the sound. Things like Wanted, I'll Be There For You, Bed Of Roses, Livin' On A Prayer... There's loads of stuff that would be impossible for a guitarist to play in a different key.

Yes, Wanted, Prayer and Raise Your Hands would be impossible.... as well as, unfortunately, Hey God. Blaze and DC would be next to impossible.... same with faith. But I see no problem (or rather, only little problems) with IBTFY or Bed of Roses. On Roses, the lick right before the chorus, he could go up an octave for that one riff... wouldn't be too noticeable. The big inconvenience would be just remembering what you are doing after years and years of playing the song a certain way. .. I'm sure it's 2nd nature by now.

But it's the songs like Santa Fe, These Days, Love Song, or anything else off These Days (mostly possible besides HG or SFTP) that they don't play often because of vocals, that we really want... they'd have to learn them again anyway... Hey, I know it's tough... just being hopeful
