You're wrong. Shouldn't = should not. Should = 1 -- used in auxiliary function to express condition (according to Merriam-Webster), thus it's a conditional form, not an order nor judgement. It simply says "In my opinion what you did was wrong".

I have to agree with Ice here. The whole football thing pisses me off. And why a bunch of Bon Jovi fans would pay for season tickets just to get passes to a "pep rally" that is just an old, rehashed Bon Jovi show is beyond me. To each his own. Jon played it safe at the pep rally. If this is a hint of what's to come with the tour, whoopie.

Language is an organic and ever changing medium and rules of lexical denotations and grammar are only defined by their current common usage(anyone still say “an helicopter?”) . This can be seen in such phenomena as assimilation and identical words possessing very different meanings through the years.

Just keeping you updated on what this means currently. Anytime I’m struggling with the Finnish language, I swear I will take your advice at face value.

You're right about the language evolving, but wrong about the meaning of the word "should". Merriam-Webster is anyway more suitable and more reliable source than a punk on a message board.

See what I mean, the term “punk” as a derogatory nominal hasn’t really been in fashion since the late eighties, but it is quite common for people deriving the majority of their cultural input retrospectively in the cases of secondary (or later) language acquisition to misuse such.

To this end you might be more open to the idea of accepting the current differences of inference between “shouldn’t have” and “Wished they hadn’t”

Oh, and as a fair bit of my degree was linguistics I’ll happily dig out a few books that would knock Merriam-Webster into a small hat.

… I also don’t really fall into the “punk” category having none of the stereotypical association with their in-group beyond an appreciation of some of their music.

Again antti, baby, you take these things far too much to heart… no need to start mud slinging when I was trying to help.

And where is the wish part in there?

Maybe in Finnish should and wish work the same way but as far as I know in English (and Spanish) they don't.

Ah. And do you think a non-Jovi fan has heard Sleep and The Radio before?

Salaam Aleikum,

No, but that's just 2 songs....I'll Sleep When i'm Dead is a great party song which has the feeling of a r'n' clssic and a bit of promotion for the Box Set can't be wrong.

the Set List is absolutely all right with me having the circumstances in mind.

Still there's one thing: SHOUT will kill me someday. When will JOVI learn that they overused and overabused it and that nobody and I mean NOBODY really wants to hear it.

My friend and I were there and we were able to predict every song they played as the show progressed... I think the only one that caught us by surprise was Runaway.

Considering they were playing at a PHILADELHPIA SOUL pep rally, I wasn't disappointed.

But I am hoping, praying that they mix it up for the next tour.
