Sound quality on What About Now

I can´t help but love WAN. It´s still in my top 4 BJ albums. I loved TC and I love this one even more. Like I´ve said a thousand times before, I am in an obvious minority in here. But I still listen to this album on a daily basis. It speaks to me like no other album. This is how I feel about it.

Do you really believe a producer with working ears can't tell that by just listening to the recent recordings?

Honest question: Did Huff, Benson and Parshar not doctor Jon's vocals as much as you're claiming? They all sound pretty equal, though it's horrendously compressed on WAN.

Personally I have always thought the production on any Bon Jovi album has been inferior to many other bands/albums etc.....Im no expert in any way, but Bon Jovi albums never seem to have the clarity of sound and good use of stereo channels .....ie different things going on in different channels etc etc. It may just even be me and my preferences, as I love a good clarity of sound etc etc especially on acoustic/quieter tracks. if you listen to NEW JERSEY it stands out as a FLAT production for want of a better word.....even on the latest "Special Tour Remastered Limited Bonus Edition" etc etc

I don't think Jon's vocals are doctored up that much. When we initially heard the 7 or 8 songs live before the album was released, I actually thought Jon did a decent job. Then when I finally heard the album to compare, I thought the album vocals were cleaner and sounded a bit higher but nothing out of the ordinary.

For example, I don´t like the drums in the What about now - Song. It sounds like a Computer some times... And I think this makes this song a little bad...
And I don´t like the parts in I´m with you when Jon tries to sing so high, seems like he got older
I also don´t really like Army of one and Pictures of you much, but I don´t know why!

But these are the only exceptions, that I don´t like at the Album I think!
The new Album is one of my favorits, it´s not perfect, but it´s really really good I think.

Pictures Of You ist einer der wenigen Songs vom Album, die ich mir noch ab und zu anhöre. I'm With You ist eigentlich der einzige andere, von daher teile ich deine anti-Favoriten wohl nicht unbedingt
