Depends on the source. It's starts with ripping audio from DVDs, to televised / radio recordings, and finally Webcasts...
The 80's and 90's are easy. It gets a little jumbled for me '00 forward. I've kinda stopped collecting after a certain point, mainly just due to a loss of interest.
