Default Steel Panther's "Party All Day" is a Bon Jovi knock off!

I recently got Steel Panther's new album, Feel the Steel (which, imo, is quite good. Musically at least, lyrically... it's just hilarious.)

Anyway- the point I want to make is the track "Party All Day" is an obvious knock off of Runaway and Livin' On A Prayer. I immediately noticed the similarities between the two. The keyboard intro is almost exactly like Runaway's, Michael whispers something about a boy (kinda like Jon does in the intro of 'Prayer), and then Satchel has a talk box riff very close to that of 'Prayer's. Come to think of it the solo bears a similarity to Prayer's also...

Just thought I'd throw this out there. I know Steel Panther is just a big joke... but hey- they're a good joke.

Here it is for your listening pleasure:

Wow, awesome song

Never heard about this band before, but I'll get this CD as soon as I can so I can read through those hilarious lyrics...

They're prooving that Glam Rock is alive. Just awesome!

Sorry, but Bon Jovi only tour with trendy bands. I don't think they wanna tour with any Hard Rock-related band.

The beginning riff of "Asian Hooker" sounds a bit like YGLABN. Never heard of that band before... Interesting.

That would be awesome!!! They are "trendy" enough. At least trend-setting in today's day and age. I forgot to post that vid with Dave, you beat me to it Dawn.

They have also covered numerous BJ songs live, and I must say they do a great job -Satchel improvises most of the solos!

borrowed the album from a mate and musically its amazing - lyrically its boring.
How many times can you say suck my dick, lick my balls and doing blow before it stops being funny? its in every song pretty much.
shame as musically its fantastic just a shame that its gone to waste with such joke lyrics.
The trouble with joke lyrics is that after a while the joke wears off!
