I Talk to Jesus...does this song make any rational sense to anyone? It kinda loses me with the aliens and Elvis and such.

It makes PERFECT sense to me!

Jon wrote the song from a viewpoint of a paranoid schizophrenic with delusions of grandeur (You don't have to VIP me, I'm a regular guy; We're like this, him and me). Paranoia is revealed in "aliens control our minds." He also has auditory hallucinations (Elvis Presley talks to me through my high school teacher).

He needs some serious meds.

The song would be okay if he wouldn't make jokes and talk negative about a band mate's wife. It's not nice and he shouldn't do this.

In other words, how far-fetched would it be for Heather L. to actually be his wife. Like there is no chance of that happening.
