Default SWW and NJ

I'm a bit tired of always reading things about SWW and NJ, here or in the press. people think BJ is an 80's bvand so what they did after doesn't mean a thing. I started listening to BJ in 89, and I rarely listen to these two albums, because I read too much about it. same for b-sides, I don't want anymore "prayer" or "bad name"... they played so many songs from their catalogue that never appeared on a single. why? I want to hear great songs they played live

In all honesty I hardly ever listen to SWW. NJ more often. I mostly listen to TD, KTF, Crossroad. And I don't think that BJ diehard mostly talk about these 2 albums. BJ diehard talk about other records too. Now the press on the other hand do mostly talk about SWW and NJ. But only because back then BJ were huge. And they are not fans, so they don't follow all the band's work.

I prefer listening to NJ over SWW. I once read an article on the ten most overrated albums and SWW was one of them. If I can find the article, I'll post what they wrote about it.

Slippery When Wet is my second favourite Bon Jovi album, and I really like New Jersey too, but I don't think New Jersey get's talked about too much. Slippery When Wet featured as one of VH1's Classic Albums, and I personally think it's only bad point is the fact that it is only 10 songs.

I think Keep The Faith and These Days are more popular amongst many fans on this board, and a lot of the older fans slag off Crush and Bounce a lot. Crush is my favourite Bon Jovi album, and I'd say 78000 Fahrenheit is the one I like the least, but I don't slag it off like some people slag things here.

They seem to spend time and effort talking about why they don't like the album, instead of talking about what they do like about another album.

Personally I wouldn't waste time talking about things I didn't like, but that's me.

NJ is number one for me. For me, there is not one song on the CD that I don't like. Faith and These Days, I always manage to skip a few here or there. They are not bad, but just not as good as NJ in my opinion.

These Days may be my fave album but i dont think NJ or SWW are overrated or what have you.

Each BJ album has something about it, people may have different tastes and say things you may not agree with but at the end of the day SWW made BJ who they are today and without that album they wouldnt have had as much success.

I don't listen to NJ much and pretty much never to SWW, BJ and 7800, but that is cause to me those are 80s songs. The 80s are over! I moved on. I don't really like to listen to it a lot anymore. Sometimes, for fun, sure, but not as much as KTF and TD. Those albums mean a lot more to me TODAY.

I'd find it incredibly boring if BJ was still on the 80s train as some other bands...... I don't want to hear anymore prayer or medicine .... that was yesterday and is only good for a chuckle today (along with those videos of pink leather pants and jumpsuits and long hair). On the other hand, I don't want them to continue in the bubble gum mode of Crush and, to a certain extent, Bounce. I don't live in that world either. Maybe cause I am an "older" fan whatever that means.

When I first heard Slippery When Wet, I wasn't as happy with the record as I thought I would be. It was so hyped up that I thought I'd be getting something superb. I overestimated it. It's not a bad album, but it's mostly the singles that really shine. The other songs... well, I'm glad they're not singles.

New Jersey on the other hand, kicks major @#$. Maybe I shouldn't repeat myself so many times.

New Jersey is my favorite Jovi album (along with These Days). I actually have it in my car cd player right now. I listen to all my Bon Jovi cd's regularly. I don't think I've heard too much about them. The older cd's are what got me hooked on Bon Jovi. I wouldn't want to give up those times at all.
