Default Teardrop to the sea (Acoustic Demo)

Billy Falcon posted this version of the song in his Facebook page with some background to the song.

Quote:
PLEASE SHARE...Thanks!
This demo is a special acoustic version of a song that
appears as Track 1 on the new Bon Jovi record, Burning Bridges.
The song was co-written by Billy Falcon & Jon Bon Jovi in NY City
last November (2014).
It was originally titled "My Worst Enemy" and was intended
for Jon' solo record. Jon then decided to release it on Bon Jovi's final Mercury record, Burning Bridges, which was conceived to fulfill Bon Jovi's commitment to Mercury Records, as the band and label could not agree on terms for the band's recording contract.
Jon then changed the lyric/song title to " A Teardrop to the Sea"

This version is nothing special.

What's a lot more interesting to hear is that Jon is/was planning a solo record. I've said many times this is the direction he should've taken instead of doing what he's doing. But perhaps there's still hope that he may get back to it.

Woah. Which solo record? The 2016 album is a band album or not?

After hearing this version, you have to give props to Jon for still being able to deliver a song... And I guess a prop should be given to Shanks too.

This is definitely one of my more favorable tracks within the past 10 years.

If you think that Jon would sound better singing this song in a stripped down environment in his living room recorded by a shitty camera, you are playing yourself.

I'm not really sure where you're going with all this but I'm just comparing two artist in regards to two totally different renditions...

Jon's vocal delivery offers so much more passion than Billy's and I like what Shanks did with the production. Very simple statement. Don't over think it.

Much respect to Billy but with all the Jon bashing going on, this solidifies that Jon is still a force to be reckon with... With the help of JS...

PS.. I'm not sure if you are aware but there are 2 different versions of Billy doing this song.. Did you click the link? One is a shitty camera version and one is a studio version....

I was hoping to see another version of it like the early demo called ''My Worst Enemy". But since I've seen Billy Falcon's version I'm now wondering why didn't Jon sing this one with a much deeper voice? Wouldn't it be easy for him to do it that way?

So we at least have a timeline of when the song was written, very cool. Thanks for sharing.

It also confirms how it has absolutely **** all to do with the decision to split with Universal or Richie Sambora, and how his feelings on the song are so "emotional".

Salaam Aleikum,
