Interesting, so how would you define his style?
Is this tha "head singing" Iceman was referring?

No problem. Anyway it is a good approach to life in general, not only for my capability in singing.

Don't know how much reliable this is but here's a short list of famous falsetto singers.
Impressive...I didn't know Freddy Mercury used this technique.

Most of those are actually using head voice, not falsetto. Earlier people thought falsetto and head voice were the same, but they're not.

Here's a nice article: http://chanteur.net/contribu/index.h...u/cLHfalse.htm

Great articles. Many thanks.
The coolest thing for me are all those technical words in italian.
It's pretty obvious you have a great knowledge of singing.
If we want to apply the theory of the head voice to Jon, are you able, while listening to him, to understand the moment when he changes his register from chest voice to head voice?
When does he make the "passaggio" ?
I discover that if the singer is well trained it is pretty hard to understand this change.
Can you give examples?

Yeah, it's sometimes hard to tell. The first one that comes to mind is I Belive, where he uses chest voice for the first verse. Also Lie To Me, if I remember correctly. More recent example would be Make a Memory.

Is there a change in make a memory?
It's pretty easy to sing (as the whole Lost Highway album)...I thought there wasn't the need of a change.
I think from the bridge to the chorus of someday I'll be Sat. night there's this kind of "jump".
I guess I will start taking some lessons...I'm too interested in this topic.

Okay I'm lost... What is the difference between head voice and falsetto and regular singing and classical? And can you give me some easy-to-hear examples? And please don't just post a link...

Because you're too lazy to find out for yourself?
