Then again, I'm a sucker for cheesy ballads, and this fits it to a T
Same here, nothing better than a ballad

I actually really like Thank You For Loving Me, it's probably the best love ballad on Crush, Bounce, and HAND. I think the sentiment is genuinely touching, and while it is a bit of a formulaic big ballad, it works IMO. The strings are nice, the intro (and outro) are nice, and the build from subdued feel to belting it out, while not exactly original, is well done

Sort of off topic here, but I remember hearing a different version on a soft rock radio station before. Instead of a guitar solo, it had a strings solo (or something like that). Does anyone know where I could get my hands on this version?

When i first got Crush i used to skip that song all the time because I thought it was way too cheesy, but I guess I've mellowed in my old age - it came on my mp3 the other day and I really enjoyed it...

... didn't JBJ say he wrote it from a line in 'Meet Joe Black' or something? That adds on a whole epic layer of cheesiness in my opinion...

Heh, well admittedly the song and me have a bit of history, so perhaps that's got something to do with why I like it, but I do like its component pieces too ... like the way that the last chorus is changed a bit from the previous choruses, I'm a sucker for that. And for strings, and for buildups. All those good old cliches that just strike a chord inside me.

Anyways, your favourite song on Bounce is Open All Night isn't it? So what do you know?
