Default We Can Dance

What a gorgeous song. It absolutely blows my mind that it didn't make it onto Bounce. I would have loved to have heard this one live.

We Can Dance and Postcards From The Wastelands are two of the best 'quiet' ballads the band has ever made.

Bounce had a shit ton of ballads as it is, but Postcards especially is a lot better than what actually made the record. Too bad it's rather noticeably just a demo.

Completely agree about both songs. I guess they wanted a "rock" record but how All About Loving You made it over either of these I'll never understand.

I'd take it the way it is. It sounds perfect to me.

That had to be a record company directive. Jon and Richie clearly didn't believe in the song. Even as a single they avoided playing it unless they absolutely had to, and then they did it acoustically.

Postcards and We Can Dance are both perfect songs. They capture an unique atmosfere that the band never touched again.

Yeah that era had some unique atmospheric songs (also loved Satellite or the vibe of Temptation for Crush) that I wish would've been pursued more instead of the beaten pattern.

I know what you mean, but I wonder if 'I Will Drive You Home' fits into that kind of atmosphere? I could see Postcards and IWDYH as companion songs.
