Absolutey pathetic, the charts in this country mean nothing these days...Jovi have been on every big show watched by millions and still didnt dent Geordie Girls sales...Does it matter?? Not a jot!!!
Just because something sells thousands doesnt make it better than a smaller seller...If that were the case F******g Westlife would be the Uk's best band....

I cant see Cole doing a ten night stint at the O2 putting on a rip roaring rock n roll show singing live for two and a half hours plus a night, can you???

Just enjoy the latest Jovi rush and look forward to June next year when the band hit our shores..

I agree, but it stills pisses me off when something you believe should happen is stopped at the last leg. It's like your football team losing to a goal in the last minute.

She's in the UK's biggest pop group, she judges on the UK's biggest tv show every week, and I guess she's the gossip magazines darling this year.

Unfortunately, these days real bands can't compete with media made stars like that.

Trouble for jovi is that cole is on x factor. If her album was released in feb when x factor isn't in then jovi would be number 1.
X factor gets 13 m viewers a week. If 1% of that audience by her album then each week she will sell 130,000 copies an no one in the world of music can compete with that. Even jacko.
For me the uk tv promo was wrong. X factor aside it was aimed at people of 40+. teens don't watch gmtv or lottery show. They should be trying to get some new fans and maybe they should have gone on more young peoples programmes? If they got another 10,000 copies sold out of it then that's great.

No 2 is decent enough but next week it will drop out of the top 10 and that's not good. Jovibalbums haven't sold well over here since crush.

I'd agree with that.

As for not getting the number 1, I'd put that down to the single choice. A lot of people I know quite like the song, but it took a while to grow on them. I think Thorn In My Side or Love's The Only Rule are two tracks which would have been more instantly likeable to the average listener, and would have been a better choice of promo song.

Kind of what I was trying to say in my previous post- Thorn In My Side or Love's The Only Rule would have appealed more to a younger audience.
