Easy choice for me - The Circle is much better than HAND. I have no doubt about it.

The Circle for me. It's standing up very well on repeated listening.

This isn't going unnoticed. It's as if it's been determined it's fashionable. Maybe it's my lack of attentiveness....but I don't remember a time when this board was this divided on an album at almost extreme ends. Generally, I'll call an album exactly what it is in a balanced manner of opinion.

Have A Nice Day, it's not quite there and has some quirks going on that make me pause, but there is some good stuff going on. The standouts are Wildflower (blindly panned on the board), an offering that came from the same place Destination Anywhere did, and Last Cigarette..which made the best use of the common riff along with well written lyrics and a creative approach.

It is a very inconsistent album though that is guilty of trying to a younger audience rather than just being Bon Jovi. The Circle is by a large contrast very honest and reflective of the adults behind the music, so it communicates to me as an adult in a way none of their post 2000 albums have with very little bullshit. I don't listen to it thinking, "hmm, that needs removing, that needs fixing...oh please I'm not buying this...etc" which is what I experience while listening to HAND.

If we are going to rate any album from the past 10 years, how about rating Bounce since in my opinion it's by far the best BJ album since These Days.

1. "Undivided" 9/10
2. "Everyday" 9/10
3. "The Distance" 10/10
4. "Joey" 7/10
5. "Misunderstood" 9/10
6. "All About Lovin' You" 7/10
7. "Hook Me Up" 8/10
8. "Right Side of Wrong" 8/10
9. "Love Me Back to Life" 6/10
10. "You Had Me From Hello" 6/10
11. "Bounce" 10/10
12. "Open All Night" 7/10

Overall Score: 96/120 which works out as 80%

How anyone could give Bounce those kind of ratings astounds me.
