John Shanks (did not co-write Complicated by the way) actually co-wrote two of the songs on Breakaway, take that for what you will, then again Lavigne also has a credit too. I agree that the song is musically pleasing thanks to it's of catchy hooks, but the lyrics are rather off putting due to their predictability and simplicity.

I still love Captain Crash though even if it has been a bit overplayed live.

I would have not minded "Complicated" as a bonus track or B-side
But it should have not been on the album & should have been replaced by "DLS" Or "Nothing".

I love both DLS and Nothing and agree they should have been on the album but theres no way they should have replaced Complicated.


Complicated is just an excellent song. I love it.

DLS should have replaced I Am in my opinion. I really like Complicated, it's just an up and happening, good time rock song

Complicated is easily one of the worst released song ever. That's not Bon Jovi. Not at all.

WHAT HAVE YOU STARTED, i know i said start the thread but damn, you're so gonna get it lol!!!
But i'm in agreement, its catchy and upbeat, kids will like it, and at the end of the day if it catches a new generation of fans, does that not make more fans and more albums and more tours, come on guys, it doesnt matter what they play, as long as they play!!!!
