There's video footage of him smoking at one of the Fairway to Heaven tournaments. That's not to say he hasn't quit at some point, but he has in the past been a smoker. He might be like Jon and quits and starts again. Richie, to the best of my knowledge, has always been a smoker. I know he wa smoking in the first picture I ever saw of him and have seen him smoking on video in fairly recent interviews. Tico smoked heavily for years, quit in 1991/92 and started again in 1993.

Looks like the band sounds tighter now. Also Jon's voice sounds better. I guess it's because of training. They've been touring since 2000.
