I have loved their music since day #1. Some songs are better than others. Some albums are better than others. Music is very personal. What you like, I might not like. I don't think their writing has become lazy. I do think they have a definite recipe for song writing. Every song has like 2 lyrics, then a slow part that speeds up for the big finale. Every single BJ song follows that recipe, it's unique unto them and works for them. As for the fan base, it seems that over past 20 years they continuously gain a new fan for every old fan they've lost. 120 million record sales speak for themselves. Next year they will be inducted in the Hall of Fame. They're doing something right, even if they're not pleasing everybody all of the time. For the most part, I've been a very happy Jovi Fan (Love ya Jonny!)
