The Distance is the best song from the album (I think ) ansd I also think that it will show people that Bon Jovi don't have to do pop rock or ballads to sell singles.

The Distance is the absolute BEST song on the album and should have been released as a single WORLDWIDE! I'm still bummed that they picked the crappy AALY instead... I was hooked on the tune the minute I heard it at Shepherds Bush. The Distance ruuuules!!

I totally agree with Simone there!!!!
I LOVE The Distance....and I think it has a big market potential as well - bigger than AALY will ever have!

When I first heard The Distance I didn't really like it. Now I like it, I think it would make for a good single (not ahead of Bounce or HMU though). I was listening to it today and was struck by the beauty of the music in the background. Esp. during the choruses, the music is really...soaring I think is the best word for it. Good song!

I have to admit, I like it more after seeing it live. It really is a good song.
