Me thinks Jon's got too big for his boots.
He's broken the thing that's kept Bon Jovi together for years - not airing your dirty laundry. The very thing that causes Alec's departure 19 years ago.
I had a feeling 'What About' Now was likely to be the last Bon Jovi album because Richie didn't sound enthusiastic about it a when he talked about what the album was going to be like. I think he's frustrated with the limitations Bon Jovi (the band) has to impose on itself. It's really obvious that since Lost Highway, the band has become Jon Bon Jovi and the Bon Jovi band. Richie, David, Tico and Hugh are merely session musicians now and I don't think Richie likes that. They aren't really a band anymore. After seeing 'When We Were Beautiful' it seemed David didn't like it either. I wouldn't be suprised if David calls it quits at the end of this tour. He's probably the most opinionated of the four members. There are no songs solely written by Jon and Richie. I think John Shanks has more or less taken over his creative role. I like all the album up until What About Now. I honestly don't think we'll see any more Bon Jovi studio albums for a while once this tour wraps up, especially since Jon is started to backbite. It'll be at least 5 years before the band reunite after this.
