I have mentioned before that on the THINFS tour m Shanks just creeped me out. I was down front and he seemed to be leering at the women kind of like "look at me" but we didn't!

I somtimes feel sorry for the guy. I've seen vids on youtube where he is feeling the music and just doing this wannabee sexy hip dance thing and then kind of stops himself like he just thought "wait I shouldn't be doing that". Add to that, through maybe no fault of his own, the dude just gives out kind of like a trucker rapey vibe, it's just weird....

I think there is another thread for him, but I just wanna say it is strange and rather pityful, the amount of negative comments that Shanks gets. I feel a bit sorry.

As a stand alone musician, he's brilliant... he's just not the perfect fit for 7 Bon Jovi albums... And part of the blame for the past 12 years... Crush and Bounce aside, Shanks is Bon Jovi Post 2K...

I agree. While I don't think he's a fit with the band's pre 2000 sound, he also isn't moving or behaving any different than he did in videos with Melissa Ethridge. He is who he is and I don't see it as an act.

Exactly! Like it or not that's what he does. I've met the guy and never got a creepy or weird vibe at all. He was very kind.

The way this board curses the current and romanticizes the past, I guarantee you we'll hit the "Shanks wasn't that bad" era in three years.
