Now, on one hand, this is a compliment, but on the other, it's completely inaccurate. All the bands post 1986 they mention would have been nowhere, and were simply copying Bon Jovi's look and to some extent, sound. These weren't metal bands. To have a documentary about glam metal and not even mention Bon Jovi, in my opinion, is poor journalism. Like the band or not (which clearly the director/host of the show did not) is one thing, but to not even mention them is just an obvious hack at the band. None of the bands mentioned had half the success of Bon Jovi, and none of them remained even remotely as popular as Bon Jovi.
Maybe Jon didn't give his permission for such a show. For all Hair Metal bands right now, any press is good press so they don't care.

I'd like to think Jon has a good relationship with VH1 considering they've been supporting him post 2K. Videos/Awards/Story Tellers/BHTM
