Well, that was entertaining. Thank you.

Mrkryz has in fact moved on to greener pastures. The site has
maintained uptime certification in excess of 99.6% during the time it
had been hosted by me.

For those(all 4 of you) that have less then glowing reviews or comments ... I ask this:
Are you perhaps bitter you've spent the last year banned as a
result of harassing other members or just being generally an
undesirable nuisance and a liability ?
Are you deeply and/or emotionally disturbed in a manner that
requires your very existance to be validated on an internet message
board by a loyal cult of 4-5 like minded simpletons daily?

I for one have not lost sleep over what your team of 4
semi-neurotic, internet addicted, intellectually constipated,
emotionally retarded, morally bankrupt, mentally unstable, butt-kissing
lunatics have to say.

The irony is that certain typess of people in life are just unhappy and unfortunately misery loves company.

MaryBeth you are a clown, plain and simple. Your beef is that I did not
give you the queen-for-a-day pass letting you run rampant. The sheer
number of complaints I got regarding your attitude was in the hundreds
of emails and that is why you got banned. The only time I recieved
similar volume was of thanks when I banned you. Your knowledge
regarding computers is equivalent with anyone having read a "Learn
Computers in 21 Days Book", and you are quite frankly unaware of the
big picture that surrounds you.

Not to mention the fact that you spend 8+ hours a day mostly on your
employers dime doing everything but working at amex. Think about that
before you make any comments about my level of professionalism.....

While at work .. I WORK .... Which is also why I didnt & dont have time to get into the self-serving drama you create.

I dont surf the web for hours on end visiting every fan club under the
sun. NOR do I pretend I am unable to work due to "wrist conditions",
surgeries, mental incapacities... yet manage to type novels
online. Grow up and get over it already.. for a grown woman you
behave like a selfish, spoiled 3 year old that has a tantrum if she is
not given 100% attention.

Donna.... dont even start with me... you and your fearless leader can
move in together and raise teams of ferrets while you both coddle each
others over inflated ego's with nothing to back them up with.

Some people just have nothing better to do then complain/whine/argue
with the world... I choose to spend it making things happen and not as
a bystander watching.

For the folks I have met here I wish you the very best.

MrKryz
What a legend!

Mary Beth and Donna were the two I got into it with over there, they are just absolutely pathetic. Easy to get a laugh out of how they go on though.

Well, I wondered what the heck happened to him. He did get a bit "ban-crazy" though. Power always corrupts people.

If it means kicking out the likes of Mary Beth than fair play to him. Why should people get away with personal insults and acting as if they own the board, when they're no different than any other fan?

The new fan club price is definitely a rip-off. The Europeans still get wristbands but they're not doing anything to improve the method of distributing Fan Club tickets in the USA. I get attacked for ripping into their method because it only really benefits people who live near venues. No newsletters means there's nothing left for those of us who get nothing out of membership but those newsletters. Do I want to pay $40 for the opportunity to go on fan club trips? It's disappointing. I've been in this fan club since I was 14... 16 years, more than half my life. But what's left for people who have never been able to benefit on tickets because of their assinine be-at-the-venue policy?

It's not the size of the fan club that dictates that. It's safe to assume that at least half of Bon Jovi's fan club membership is outside the USA and they still play at arenas and stadiums in the USA so they could acquire a lot more than 200 tix for each show. I'm in another US fan club that lets members buy tickets on line... and 2,500 people just showed up for that fan club party at $25 per ticket compared to $250 for a Bon Jovi party. A good seat doesn't have to be limited to the first ten rows.

It breaks my heart to say it, but Backstage is about the money, not about the fans.

Because it is a messageboard, not real life. You have the option to ignore the people you don't like. Believe me, I am no fan of the way MB talks to people either, but unless someone is an all out troll, I don't see the point in banning them. Plus, he banned some people for pretty dumb reasons.

Sorry, that makes no sense. Whether it's face to face or over a message board, trading personal insults is out of order. You may think it's acceptable, but I certainly don't.

That's pretty much how I feel about it Becky. I've been a member for 10 years and have always thought it to be too expensive. But receiving the fanzines and having that letter from Jon has always made it worth it for me. It got me that bit closer to the band.
Like you, I've never been able to take advantage of fan club trips or even managed to get a ticket to get in the pits, so I now have no longer any reason to rejoin. Even if they'd held the price as it was I wouldn't have bothered.
When they announced the price tickets for the Elements event, this pretty much confirmed they're in it for the money. How can they justify $200 to listen to the album, have a Q & A with Jon and some food? And now this with the fan club. And what I find even more amazing is that people on the message board are so willing to pass with their cash without a second thought. It's this blind loyalty that will encouage the fan club to keep ripping off the fans!

Please don't say that I don't make any sense just because you don't agree with me. Now you are starting to sound just like MB. But I will explain to you what I mean. There is no need to take what people say on a messageboard that personally, when all you have to do is choose to ignore that particular person's posts. Not to mention that with technology today, it isn't that hard to get around being "banned" therefore it is a pointless action. If MB bothers you so much, just don't read what she has to say. That is what I do when I am over there. Then the problem is solved.

Also, Mrkryz banned Mongoose for simply posting stuff over here about Backstage. Yup, sounds like a fair guy to me. As I have said, his banning power went a bit to his head.

One thing I really love about DC is the no banning policy here. You don't see mass chaos erupting do you?

Becky I was waiting for your reaction because I pretty much knew what it would be and I absolutely agree. Keith Urban's fanclub has spoiled us. Everytime I read someone over at Backstage say name another fanclub any better I feel like shouting Keith Urban!!! If the country artists can get it right why can't Bon Jovi. I am local to many shows for Bon Jovi but I never go by myself so one ticket per membership is bad enough but now no on line newsletter, no on line sales of tickets, no fanclub only forum which was indicated earlier was the plan. I know Mrs. B does not have to keep the fanclub going and for those who can take advantage of the opportunity for tickets I am happy but for me I am not so sure. I am going to at least wait until they take credit cards again. It is what it is I guess and I have to decide if keeping my number which is the only tangible benefit I see is worth $40.00. I hate to be negative but it is the way I feel at this point.

As for Mrkyz- I always thought he did a very professional job. That is all I have to say about that.
