Sad, but true. Yet another reason to be underwhelmed by this album and this wimpy ploddy song.

If this hasn't been mentioned already

Bon Jovi is bumming me out more and more with each passing month.

Man I love the Civil Wars though.

Shameful... if Jon is going to blatantly rip-off other artists melodies, he at least needs to pick someone a little more under the radar than The Civil Wars and Matchbox 20. Talk about uninspired.

Civil Wars have some great chemistry and harmonies. And they are so popular now.

And this is so blatantly stolen--lyrically and musically.

And, thanks to this song, Bon Jovi split up just like The Civil Wars

Thanks, Jon!

lol

I kid, I kid.

But it's true.

Damn! WAN has to be the most derivative uninspired Bon Jovi album ever! At least they used to put some effort when "borrowing" stuff from other acts, now in 1 album we get
I'm with You - Oasis
Pictures of You - The Killers
Amen - Leonard Cohen
Beautiful World - Matchbox 20
The Fighter - The Civil Wars
These two hands - Coldplay

Am I missing something??

I'm the first one in line when it comes to bash Jon's "creative" input but I really don't think that Amen is a Cohen ripoff. It's certainly inspired by Hallelujah but I don't believe the melodies match so much?

I might be wrong though.

The matchbox 20 and civil wars one are spot on. Well what do you expect when you rush a product to the production line.

That's it I think... but I think The Fighter and Beautiful World are in a league of their own. The rest are forgivable and not much different from what they've done their entire career... use the sound of whose on top to model a particular song... aka chasing fads. Yes, POY sounds a lot like The Killers and Amen was undoubtedly another attempt to rewrite Hallelujah, but to my knowledge they didn't steal anything from the original artsit, only inspired/influenced by them.

Beautiful World and The Fighter is just plain wrong.

The worst part of it is the absolute casual condescension he has for his fans, assuming they listen to nothing but endless barrage of his brand of bubblegum platitudinous rock and never venture to listen to other great artists so we'll never know.

And, the funniest part is that, of all the songs by the Civil Wars...why not steal a better one? They have so many better ones!

I am skipping the Canada shows. No Richie, No inspiration, no Beavoid.

Thank you Jon for reminding me that I wanted to buy Barton Hollow.
This whole band has become a big joke.
